During this 5-day safari, you will have the chance to explore the Northern Safari Circuit in Tanzania and experience some of the most breathtaking wildlife in diverse landscapes. You will begin your journey by visiting forests where you can spot monkeys, followed by a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you may witness lions in trees, elephants among acacias, and a wide variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano. The highlight of this safari is a visit to the Serengeti National Park, which is home to over 3 million animals. This vast grassland offers the best opportunity to see cheetahs, leopards, and lions in their natural habitat. Itinerary
- On day 1 of the safari, you will arrive at the airport in Arusha, where one of our representatives will be waiting to pick you up and transfer you to your accommodation.
- You can spend the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for the exciting adventures that await you.
- Overnight at Ilboru Safari Lodge / Arusha Planet Lodge/ Airport Planet Lodge.
- On day 2, after breakfast, our safari guide will pick us up from our accommodation in Arusha and take us to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately 2 hours away.
- We will spend the entire day exploring the park, which is famous for its elephant families, savannah, baobab trees, and seasonal swamps.
- The park is also home to a variety of animals such as buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest.
- We will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, which includes a delicious, varied repast, coffee, and soft drinks.
- After a full day of game viewing, we will drive to our chosen accommodation where we can relax, enjoy dinner in beautiful surroundings, and retire to our well-appointed quarters when the spirit moves us.
- Meals: - Breakfast at the accommodation in Arusha - Picnic lunch in Tarangire National Park - Dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn / Endoro Lodge / Karatu Simba Lodge.
- On day 3, after an early breakfast, we will head towards the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest volcanic caldera.
- We will spend the morning exploring the crater, which is home to a variety of wildlife such as the Big Five, wildebeest, gazelle, reedbuck, and over 500 bird species.
- After a self-contained picnic lunch in the crater, we will depart for Central Serengeti, arriving at our chosen accommodation at around 6:00 p.m.
- Our accommodation for the night will be in a high-grade tented camp in Serengeti National Park.
- Meals: - Breakfast at the accommodation in Tarangire National Park or nearby area. - Picnic lunch in Ngorongoro Crater. - Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp / Embalakai Camp / Sound of Silence.
- On day 4, we will have an early breakfast and depart for a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park at around 6:30 am.
- We will spend approximately 6-7 hours exploring the park, which is home to a vast array of wildlife such as impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo.
- The park is most famous for its migrating herds of zebras (250,00), wildebeest (1.5 million), and antelope (500,00). The location of the animals' trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year.
- During the game drive, we may also spot predators such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions.
- At around 2:00 pm, we will head back to Karatu for overnight accommodation.
- Meals: - Breakfast at the chosen accommodation in Central Serengeti or a nearby area. - Packed lunch during the game drive in Serengeti National Park. - Dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn / Endoro Lodge / Karatu Simba Lodge.
- On day 5, we will have breakfast and then drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which is approximately 120km west of Arusha.
- The park is named after the shallow Salt Lake that occupies around 70% of its land.
- The lake is seasonally flooded and dried, and it is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species.
- During our exploration of the park, we will see various animals such as monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, elephants, and possibly lions lounging in the trees.
- Lake Manyara National Park is known for its diverse landscapes, including open grassy plains, primate-filled woodlands, and baobab-dotted cliffs.
- After lunch in the park, we will return to Arusha and arrive at around 5:00 pm, concluding our adventure.
